Overview of Phase III of IDE Bootcamp

• The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), and Ministry of Education's Innovation Cell (MIC) successfully launched the "Innovation, Design, and Entrepreneurship (IDE) Bootcamps (Phase III)" at 9 locations on April 29th, 2024. The inauguration, led by Prof. T. G. Sitharam, Chairman of AICTE, occurred virtually from AICTE Headquarters, New Delhi, and was broadcasted live across various social media platforms. This groundbreaking initiative aimed at fostering the innovation, design, and entrepreneurial acumen of student innovators, attracting over 2500 participants and innovation ambassadors from higher education institutes nationwide.
• Running concurrently from April 29th to May 3rd, 2024, the third phase of the IDE Bootcamp unfolded across nine strategic locations in India. Hosted by esteemed institutions such as Maharaja Agrasen University Baddi, Amity University Raipur, and Banaras Hindu University Varanasi, the bootcamp featured renowned speakers and design experts delivering enriching training sessions.
• Collaborating with the Wadhwani Foundation, the bootcamp focused on equipping participants with essential skills in product design, ergonomics, design thinking, and pitching, tailored for today's dynamic business landscape. The immersive 5-day program provided hands-on learning experiences, enabling participants to explore diverse product design methodologies and cultivate innovative thinking. Inspirational talks by startup founders, particularly from the SIH alumni, motivated participants, including those from J&K and Ladakh, towards entrepreneurial endeavors.
• The bootcamp's agenda included an exhibition where participants showcased their innovations, a local tour to offer practical insights and networking opportunities, and culminated in a pitching session before expert panels comprising startup founders, incubators, investors, and knowledge agencies.
